The poll of december, 16th, 2001 were prone to massive frauds, which is since the beginning, of public notoriety. What was less kown, it is that these electoral frauds were performed by both camps which clashed thereafter. We had, for our part, a consequent number of exhibits (official reports of examinations) attesting culpability of the Ratsiraka camp as well as the Ravalomanana camp. We could note by ourselves a great number of frauds because the candidate Daniel Rajakoba was victim of it. These reports were shared by the 3 other candidates and testimonys of their delegates corroborated ours. Consequently, it was unthinkable to us to position for one or the other of the 2 candidates. It was important from now on to preserve the national harmony, have us, as well as the 3 other candidates eliminated as of the first turn, revoyé back with back the two camps so that they get along for a political solution which would have avoided with the country sinking in the fratricidal fight that one knew. As of January, Albert Zafy, Daniel Rajakoba, Herizo Razafimahaleo and Patrick Rajaonary started a mediation near the candidates Ratsiraka and Ravalomanana. They had then designated Daniel Rajakoba as their spokesman. This mediation was, after the proclamation of the results of the poll by the Constitutional High court, supported by the international community, in particular by the contest the OAU (the Organization of African Unit). ![]() The four candidates, mediators between the belligerents The good direction implied that one carried out a confrontation of the statement of examination held by each candidate. The History showed thereafter that this famous confrontation in fact was refused by the two camps which had both falsified the results in their possession. It is one of the imperative reasons which made that in spite of the autoproclamation of February 22 and the progressive seizure of Ravalomanana on the police headquarters, it did not carry out this confrontation what would however have legitimated and to legalize its election. As of the end of the legislative elections of December 2002 (which were also gained fraudulently by the presidential party), the languages untied dimensioned presidential mobility: the coalition already started to take water. The most enthusiastic partisans of Ravalomanana gathered within his committee of support (the KMMR), in particular the deputy Jean-Eugene Voninahitsy, started to reveal that in fact, Ravalomanana forever obtained the 50% of voices necessary to gain the election as of the first turn. It was under the threat of popular vindication (threat held up by insurrectionary the Prime Minister Jacques Sylla) that the HCC pronounced April 2002 of the results allotting a victory to the Ravalomanana candidate. After two proclamations of results, and two nominations, Madagascar was always in a crisis without precedent for which the responsibility in front of the History falls entirely on Didier Ratsiraka and Marc Ravalomanana which falsified the results and refused a political payment of the crisis. Marc Ravalomanana became president of the republic, and recognized we it like such, although its capacity was established by a coup d'etat. For lack of State de Droit, it is the Established fact which is binding to the Madagascans. This position, although misunderstood in 2002, today is largely shared by the Malagasy people which, floué, once more misled and humiliated are about to vomit this mode and to finally choose a development which will be palpable until “in the housewife's shopping basket”. |
